Description
PICOGUARD 17642 is a synthetic, water-based rust and corrosion inhibitor formulated for long-term indoor storage and limited outdoor protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It creates a clear, dry-to-the-touch, non-staining film that resists high-humidity and acid-fume environments. Ideal for packaged metal parts, fabricated components, and shipping applications.
PICOGUARD 17642 is VOC-free, biodegradable, non-flammable, and free of oils, silicones, DEA, and nitrites. It can be applied by spray, immersion, or flood, and dries within 60–90 minutes. It does not interfere with welding, pickling, or painting (pretesting recommended) and provides up to 2 years indoor and 3 months outdoor protection under controlled conditions.
