PICOCAST CC 6 is a high-performance mold lubricant formulated for continuous casting of billets up to 160 mm × 160 mm. Built from highly refined base oils and advanced additives, it delivers excellent lubricity, thermal stability, and mold cleanliness for steel mills aiming to reduce defects and increase yield.
Used as received, PICOCAST CC 6 supports higher-speed casting rates while minimizing pinholes, billet rejection, and mold chatter. It extends mold and shroud life and performs reliably at low usage rates (2–6 oz/ton).
