Description
PICO SPP 17642 is a new-generation, water-based rust and corrosion inhibitor formulated for long-term indoor storage and limited outdoor/transportation protection of ferrous and non-ferrous steel plates. It forms a clear, dry-to-touch, non-staining, hydrophobic film that resists high humidity and condensation.
Free of petroleum oils, VOCs, silicones, DEA, and nitrites, PICO SPP 17642 is biodegradable, non-flammable, and safe to use. It can be applied by spray, dip, or flood, and is effective on clean surfaces at temperatures up to 300°F. Post-processing steps like welding or pickling require no removal (pre-test if painting). Indoor protection lasts up to 2 years and outdoor protection up to 6 months in acid-free, covered environments.
