Description
PICO SPP 142 is a solvent-based, non-pigmented rust and corrosion inhibitor formulated for mid- to long-term indoor and limited outdoor protection of steel plate surfaces. It leaves behind a dry, non-discernible film that protects ferrous metals from rust and corrosion, even in high humidity.
Free of oil, barium, and heavy metals, PICO SPP 142 is water-displacing, non-staining, and weld-safe. It typically does not need to be removed before painting, pickling, or welding (pre-testing recommended). The product meets MIL-PRF-16173E Grades 3 & 5, complies with California Rule 102, and offers low VOC emissions for environmentally responsible use.
