APR 45:
PVC Plastisol / Organosol Adhesion Promoter
APR 45 is a polyamidoamine resin adhesion promoter used to improve bonding of fused PVC plastisol and organosol coatings to metals, fabrics, and plastics.
Applications: Automotive, appliance, and industrial parts where PVC or vinyl coatings must bond reliably to diverse substrates.
- Used at 1–5% in plastisol/organosol systems
- Promotes adhesion during thermal fusion
- Compatible with electro-coated and untreated metals
- Enhances bonding to fabric and plastic surfaces
- Disperses directly into plastisol or plasticizer
Description
APR 45 is a concentrated polyamidoamine resin designed to improve the adhesion of fused PVC plastisol and organosol coatings to a wide range of substrates, including metals, electro-coated metals, fabrics, and plastics. Functions during the heat fusion stage of the vinyl coating process, promoting chemical bonding and cohesive film integrity on treated surfaces.
APR 45 is used at typical addition rates of 1–5% by weight. May be added directly to the plastisol formulation or preblended into the plasticizer component. High amine value and viscous amber form allow efficient dispersion and consistent performance in complex formulations requiring flexible adhesion enhancement.
