APR 418:
DINP-Based Adhesion Promoter
APR 418 is a DINP-based polyamidoamine resin that promotes strong, color-stable adhesion of PVC plastisols to metals, fabrics, and plastics.
Applications: Vinyl coating systems requiring clean adhesion and good storage stability, including e-coated parts and industrial components.
- Used at 1–5% by weight
- Compatible with plastisols and plasticizers
- Improves fusion bonding during curing
- Does not discolor finished coatings
- Maintains stable viscosity in storage
Description
APR 418 is a DINP-based polyamidoamine resin formulated to promote strong adhesion of PVC plastisols and organosols to a variety of substrates. It is designed for use on metals, electro-coated surfaces, plastics, and fabrics. This promoter activates during the vinyl fusion process and improves coating performance across multiple substrate types.
APR 418 is easy to incorporate and maintains excellent color and viscosity stability. It does not cause discoloration in the finished coating. The product is typically used at 1–5% by weight and can be added directly to plastisols or pre-blended into the plasticizer system. Its clean adhesion profile makes it suitable for use in both industrial and automotive vinyl coating applications.
